Electrolux
Excessive Ice Thickness
Electrolux ice maker produces very large, thick ice slabs that are difficult to break apart.

Possible Causes
Ice thickness probe set too far from evaporator, Stuck water level float causing overfill, Faulty ice thickness sensor, Control board not terminating freeze cycle
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Disconnect power before making adjustments.
- Adjust thickness probe closer: Move the ice thickness probe slightly closer to the evaporator plate so it contacts the ice sooner, shortening the freeze cycle.
- Verify water level: Ensure the water level float moves freely and shuts off fill at the correct level. Clean scale and replace the float switch if necessary.
- Observe cycle timing: If cycles run excessively long despite adjustments, the control board may be misreading the sensor and could require replacement.
