Possible Causes

Blown line fuse on control board, Failed main control board, Loose power harness connection at control, Defective power cord or wall outlet

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety First: Unplug the ice maker or switch off the circuit breaker before removing any panels. Use a non-contact voltage tester to confirm power is off.

  • Check wall outlet and cord: Plug a lamp or small appliance into the same outlet to verify power. Inspect the Electrolux power cord for cuts, burns, or kinks. Replace the cord if damaged.
  • Inspect power entry and harness: Remove the rear lower access panel. Verify the power cord is firmly connected to the terminal block and that the wiring harness from the terminal block to the main control board is fully seated.
  • Check internal fuse (if equipped): On many Electrolux ice makers, the main control board has a small glass or thermal fuse. Visually inspect for a broken filament or burn marks. Test continuity with a multimeter; replace the fuse or board if open.
  • Test incoming voltage: With power restored and extreme caution, verify 120 VAC (or local spec) at the terminal block. If voltage is present at the terminal block but the display remains dead, the main control board is likely faulty.
  • Replace main control board: Disconnect power, label and remove all connectors from the board, remove mounting screws, and install the new Electrolux control board. Reconnect harnesses one by one, restore power, and test.
