Possible Causes
Closed or kinked water supply line, Clogged inlet screen on water valve, Failed water inlet valve coil, Low household water pressure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Unplug the ice maker and shut off the water supply before disconnecting any water lines.
- Verify water supply: Confirm the saddle valve or shutoff valve to the Electrolux ice maker is fully open. Straighten any kinks in the copper or braided water line.
- Check inlet screen: Remove the rear access panel to locate the water inlet valve. Disconnect the inlet line and inspect the valve screen for sediment. Clean with a soft brush and water; do not puncture the screen.
- Test valve coil: With the valve disconnected, measure coil resistance with a multimeter. Compare to Electrolux specifications (typically 200–500 Ω). Replace the valve if the coil is open or shorted.
- Check water pressure: Ensure at least 20–40 psi at the supply. Low pressure can trigger E02 and prevent proper fill.
- Replace water inlet valve: If defective, disconnect wiring and tubing, install the new Electrolux-compatible valve, transfer any brackets, reconnect lines (use new compression ferrules if needed), turn water on, and check for leaks.
