• Inspect wiring: Follow the thermistor leads back to the main control board. Check for chafed insulation, broken wires, or loose connectors. Repair or replace damaged wiring.
• Test thermistor: Disconnect the thermistor and measure resistance at room temperature and in ice water. Compare readings to Electrolux specifications. A shorted or open thermistor must be replaced.
• Check mounting: Ensure the thermistor is firmly attached to the evaporator surface with the correct clip or thermal compound so it senses temperature accurately.
• Replace thermistor: Install an OEM Electrolux evaporator thermistor, route the harness away from moving parts, reconnect to the board, and clear the error via power cycle or service mode.
