Possible Causes
Failed circulation pump motor, Blocked pump inlet screen, Air lock in circulation system, Loose pump wiring connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Unplug the unit and shut off water. Water in the sump may be sharp with ice; use gloves.
- Check water level: Ensure the sump has adequate water. A dry sump can cause the pump to run dry and trigger E11.
- Inspect pump inlet: Access the circulation pump under the sump. Remove any screens or covers and clear debris or scale blocking the inlet.
- Bleed air: After refilling the sump, tilt the unit slightly or manually prime the pump (if possible) to remove trapped air.
- Test pump motor: Disconnect the pump and measure resistance across the motor leads. If open or shorted, replace the pump. Verify the harness is fully seated at both ends.
- Replace circulation pump: Remove mounting screws and hose clamps, swap in the new Electrolux circulation pump, secure hoses, and check for leaks. Restore power and confirm strong water flow over the evaporator.
