Possible Causes
Open or shorted cabinet thermistor, Damaged thermistor harness, Poor thermistor mounting location, Faulty control board input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Unplug the unit before accessing internal wiring or sensors.
- Locate thermistor: The cabinet or ambient thermistor is usually mounted on an interior wall or near the air return.
- Inspect wiring: Check for pinched, cut, or disconnected wires between the thermistor and control board.
- Measure resistance: Disconnect the thermistor and measure resistance at room temperature. Compare to Electrolux's temperature-resistance chart. Replace if readings are out of range or unstable.
- Check mounting: Ensure the sensor is not touching a cold coil or warm light source directly; it should sense average cabinet temperature.
- Replace thermistor: Install a new OEM thermistor, route wiring properly, reconnect to the board, and clear the error.
