Ice maker produces ice, but ice cubes are very small or hollow.

Safety first: Unplug the unit and drain water before disassembling internal water components.

Steps:

• 1. Verify water level: Ensure the reservoir is filled to the correct level and the float is not stuck low.
• 2. Clean water distribution tray: Remove the top cover and locate the tray or manifold that drips water over the evaporator. Remove it and soak in a vinegar solution to dissolve scale. Rinse thoroughly.
• 3. Clean pump and lines: Access the water pump and hoses. Flush them with warm water and vinegar to remove mineral deposits.
• 4. Descale the system: Run a full cleaning cycle with a manufacturer-approved descaler or a diluted vinegar solution, then rinse with several cycles of clean water.
• 5. Check inlet (plumbed models): Ensure the external water supply valve is fully open and any inlet filter screen is clean.
