Possible Causes

Blocked or failed ice-full sensor, Broken ice-full lever, Disconnected sensor harness, Control board not reading sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug before inspecting sensors.

Steps:

  • Clean sensor or lever: Remove ice and clean the sensor lenses or lever mechanism so they move freely.
  • Check harness: Inspect the wiring from the sensor to the control board for disconnection or damage.
  • Functional test: With the unit running and bin empty, gently move the lever to the "full" position or block the IR beam (if safe to do so) to see if the unit stops. Then unplug.

If the machine never responds to a simulated full-bin condition, the sensor or control board must be replaced.
