Possible Causes

Water level sensor coated with scale, Float switch stuck, Low water supply pressure, Faulty water level sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water supply valve.

  • Check water supply pressure: Confirm that the household water pressure meets Gram's minimum requirement. Restore full flow if valves are partially closed.
  • Inspect water reservoir: Open the front panel and locate the water sump or reservoir. Check for proper fill level and look for heavy mineral deposits.
  • Clean float or sensor: If your model uses a float, move it up and down to ensure free movement. Clean scale with warm water and a descaling solution. For electronic probes, gently clean the metal rods.
  • Check wiring: Inspect the harness from the water level sensor or float switch to the control board. Reseat connectors.
  • Replace faulty sensor: If E11 persists and the water level is correct, replace the Gram water level sensor/float switch assembly.
