Safety first: Ensure the unit is stable and cannot tip while you work on the door.

• Check door closure: Make sure the front service door or bin door is fully closed and latched. Remove any ice or objects preventing closure.
• Inspect door switch: Locate the door interlock switch near the hinge or frame. Press it by hand; you should hear a distinct click.
• Adjust alignment: If the door does not reliably press the switch, adjust the door hinges or the switch mounting position so the plunger is fully depressed when closed.
• Test and replace switch: Disconnect power, remove the switch, and test continuity with a multimeter. Replace the Gram door switch if it does not open/close correctly.
