How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the ice maker before removing the control panel.
- 1. Dry the panel: Wipe the front display area and ensure no condensation is trapped.
- 2. Access display board: Remove the front/top cover to expose the display PCB. Reseat the ribbon cable or connector between the display and main board.
- 3. Inspect for corrosion: Look for green/white corrosion on connectors; clean gently with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush.
- 4. Replace display board: If segments remain dead, replace the display PCB with a compatible H.Koenig part.
Warning: Avoid flexing the display board excessively; it can crack solder joints.
