ADD
Display shows ADD or water droplet icon; unit beeps and will not start ice production.
Low Water Level Detected
CLEAN
CLEAN indicator or code appears; unit may still operate but prompts for cleaning.
Maintenance / Descaling Reminder
E1
Ice maker stops and displays E1 on the control panel; unit may beep continuously and not start an ice-making cycle.
Water Inlet Sensor / Water Level Fault
E2
Display shows E2 and the ice-making cycle stops; compressor may not start or stops shortly after starting.
Temperature Sensor (Thermistor) Fault
E3
E3 appears on the display; ice basket may not move or the harvesting cycle fails, with ice remaining stuck on the evaporator.
Ice Full / Harvest Position Sensor Fault
E4
E4 error on display; unit may stop mid-cycle, sometimes accompanied by abnormal frost build-up or very short cycles.
Defrost / Evaporator Overtemperature Protection Fault
E5
E5 displayed; compressor may not start or stops after a few seconds, with no ice production.
Compressor Overload / Start Protection Fault
E6
E6 appears on the display; water pump may not run, or the unit fills but does not circulate water over the evaporator.
Water Pump Drive / Pump Feedback Fault
E7
E7 error code; fan does not run or runs intermittently, unit overheats and stops making ice.
Condenser Fan Motor Fault
E8
E8 displayed; ice shovel or tray does not move during harvest, sometimes accompanied by grinding or clicking noises.
Ice Shovel Motor / Gearbox Fault
E9
E9 appears; unit may start but quickly stops, with no ice formation and sometimes a warm evaporator.
Refrigeration System Protection / Low Refrigerant or High Pressure Fault
ICE FULL
Display shows ICE FULL or ice full icon; machine stops making ice even though the basket is not completely full.
False Ice Bin Full Detection
Symptom
Buttons on the control panel are unresponsive or work intermittently.
Keypad / Touch Control Failure
Symptom
Buzzing or humming noise from the compressor area, with frequent clicking on and off.
Compressor Start / Overload Cycling
Symptom
Display is dim, flickering, or some segments do not light properly.
Display Module / Power Supply Degradation
Symptom
Fan makes a scraping or ticking noise during operation.
Condenser Fan Obstruction or Bearing Wear
Symptom
High-pitched squealing or grinding noise when the ice shovel moves or during harvest.
Ice Shovel Gearbox Wear
Symptom
Ice cubes are fused together in large clumps in the basket.
Overproduction / Poor Ice Ejection and Storage
Symptom
Ice cubes are very small, hollow, or irregularly shaped.
Insufficient Water Flow to Evaporator
Symptom
Ice has an unpleasant taste or odor (metallic, musty, or chemical).
Water Quality / Internal Contamination
Symptom
Ice maker does not power on at all; no lights or display when plugged in.
No Power / Main Power Supply Failure
Symptom
Ice maker leaks water onto the countertop or floor during or after operation.
External Water Leak
Symptom
Ice maker powers on but does not start ice production when the START button is pressed.
Control Input / Start Circuit Fault
Symptom
Ice maker produces ice very slowly; cycles are much longer than normal and ice cubes are small or hollow.
Reduced Cooling Capacity / Partial Blockage
Symptom
Ice maker runs but makes very soft, wet ice that melts quickly in the basket.
High Storage Temperature / Poor Insulation or Airflow
Symptom
Ice maker runs but produces no ice; evaporator does not get cold.
No Cooling / Refrigeration Failure
Symptom
Ice maker stops mid-cycle and the ice remains stuck on the evaporator grid.
Harvest Failure / Ice Release Problem
Symptom
Loud rattling or vibrating noise during operation, especially when the compressor is running.
Excessive Vibration / Loose Components
Symptom
Strong plastic or chemical odor from new ice maker that persists after several uses.
Residual Manufacturing Odors / Contamination
Symptom
Unit emits a burning smell or visible smoke during operation.
Electrical Overheating / Component Failure
Symptom
Unit frequently indicates 'ADD WATER' even though the reservoir is full.
False Low Water Detection
Symptom
Unit frequently shows 'ICE FULL' even when the basket is only half full, stopping production too early.
Premature Ice Full Detection
Symptom
Unit is unusually hot to the touch on the sides or top during operation.
Overheating / Poor Heat Dissipation
Symptom
Unit trips the household circuit breaker or RCD when plugged in or when compressor starts.
Electrical Short or Ground Fault
Symptom
Visible mold or slime inside the water tank or on internal surfaces.
Microbial Contamination / Poor Hygiene
Symptom
Water accumulates inside the machine or under the ice basket, but no obvious external leak is visible.
Internal Condensate / Drainage Fault
