How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing the control panel.
- 1. Check indicators: Ensure no ICE FULL or ADD WATER indicators are lit. Resolve those conditions first.
- 2. Confirm lid position: Some H.Koenig models have a lid switch; ensure the lid is fully closed.
- 3. Try multiple presses: Firmly press the START/STOP button for 2–3 seconds. For touch panels, wipe the surface dry and clean.
- 4. Inspect control panel: Remove the front/top panel to access the button board. Check the ribbon cable connection to the main PCB.
- 5. Test button: If you have a multimeter, test the mechanical switch for continuity when pressed. Replace the button board if faulty.
