How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before deep cleaning.
- 1. Initial cleaning: Wash the ice basket and removable parts with warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly.
- 2. Run cleaning cycles: Fill the tank with a mixture of water and white vinegar (1:1) and run several cycles, discarding all ice.
- 3. Rinse cycles: Refill with clean water and run at least 3–4 full ice cycles, discarding the ice each time.
- 4. Air out: Leave the lid open when not in use for the first few days to allow odors to dissipate.
Warning: Do not use perfumed cleaners inside the ice maker; they can taint the ice.
