Possible Causes
Insufficient heating or defrost during harvest, Ice shovel motor not moving, Excessive scale on evaporator, Faulty harvest timing on control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before touching the evaporator or shovel.
- 1. Allow ice to melt: Leave the lid open and let the stuck ice melt naturally. Do not pry with metal tools.
- 2. Descale evaporator: Run a cleaning cycle with descaler or vinegar and wipe the evaporator to remove scale that can grip ice.
- 3. Check shovel movement: Observe a cycle to ensure the shovel moves through its full range. If not, inspect the motor and gearbox.
- 4. Verify water temperature: Very cold inlet water can make harvest harder; use room-temperature water if possible.
Warning: For persistent harvest failures, control board or heater circuit diagnosis may be required by a technician.
