Possible Causes
Empty external water reservoir, Kinked or blocked water suction hose, Faulty water level sensor not detecting water, Mispositioned water tank or reservoir
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before moving the unit or removing covers.
- 1. Refill water: Fill the reservoir with clean, potable water up to the MAX line. Avoid using sparkling or distilled water unless specified by H.Koenig.
- 2. Check suction hose: Ensure the silicone suction hose is fully submerged and not kinked or pinched behind the unit.
- 3. Reseat reservoir: If your model has a removable tank, make sure it is fully inserted and seated on its contacts or valve.
- 4. Clean level sensor: If ADD persists with full water, access the tank and clean the float or metal probes with a soft cloth and vinegar to remove scale.
- 5. Restart: Plug the unit back in and press the power button to clear the ADD indication.
Warning: Do not overfill the tank; overflowing can cause internal leaks and electrical hazards.
