Possible Causes
Blocked ventilation grills, Failed condenser fan motor, Extremely high ambient room temperature, Dirty condenser coil restricting airflow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before cleaning or accessing internal components.
Steps to address H1:
- 1. Improve airflow: Move the ice maker away from walls and other appliances to provide at least 10–15 cm (4–6 in) of clearance on all sides.
- 2. Check room temperature: Ensure the unit is used in a room below about 32°C (90°F). Relocate it to a cooler area if necessary.
- 3. Clean air vents and condenser: Use a vacuum and soft brush to remove dust from all air inlets and outlets. Remove the rear panel and clean the condenser coil thoroughly.
- 4. Inspect the condenser fan: Confirm the fan spins freely by hand and is not obstructed. If the fan does not run when the compressor is on, replace the condenser fan motor.
- 5. Reset and test: After cleaning and ensuring proper airflow, let the unit cool for 30 minutes, then plug it back in and test.
When to call a technician: If H1 persists despite good ventilation and a working fan, there may be a refrigerant or compressor issue requiring professional service.
