Possible Causes
Cracked water reservoir, Loose or damaged internal water hose, Faulty drain plug or gasket, Overfilling due to faulty water level sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and mop up any spilled water to prevent slipping or electrical hazards.
Steps to locate and fix leaks:
- 1. Inspect the reservoir: Remove the water reservoir and check for cracks or pinholes. Fill it over a sink and watch for drips. Replace the reservoir if damaged.
- 2. Check the drain plug: If your HOMCOM model has a drain plug, ensure it is fully tightened and the rubber gasket is not cracked or missing.
- 3. Examine internal hoses: Remove the rear or bottom panel and look for wet spots around hoses and connections. Tighten hose clamps and replace any brittle or split hoses.
- 4. Verify water level control: If the unit overfills, inspect and test the water level float and switch as described for E3/ADD_WATER. Replace if faulty.
- 5. Test for leaks: After repairs, place the unit on a dry towel or paper and run a cycle while observing for new drips.
Warning: Do not operate the ice maker if water is leaking onto electrical components; have it inspected by a technician.
