HOMCOM
Poor Ice Storage Insulation / High Bin Temperature
Ice melts quickly in the storage basket and clumps together.

Possible Causes
Warm ambient temperature around unit, Lid not closing properly, Failed internal fan circulation (if equipped), Ice basket too close to warm components
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before adjusting internal components.
Steps to improve ice retention:
- 1. Check lid seal: Ensure the lid closes fully and the gasket (if present) is intact. Replace a damaged lid seal.
- 2. Improve room conditions: Move the ice maker away from heat sources (ovens, direct sunlight) and ensure good ventilation.
- 3. Verify internal fan (if present): Some HOMCOM models use a small fan to circulate cool air around the bin. Confirm it runs when the unit is operating; replace the fan if it has failed.
- 4. Remove ice regularly: Transfer ice to a freezer for long-term storage; countertop ice makers are not designed as freezers.
Note: Some melting and clumping is normal; the bin is typically insulated but not actively cooled.
