Buttons on the control panel are hard to press or stick, causing erratic operation.

Safety: Unplug the ice maker before disassembling the control panel.

• Clean the keypad area: Remove the fascia and clean any sticky residue with a mild detergent and damp cloth. Dry thoroughly.
• Inspect rubber mat: If the rubber key mat is torn or permanently deformed, replace it.
• Check tactile switches: On the PCB, press each switch directly. If some do not click or respond, the UI board may need replacement.
• Reassemble carefully: Ensure the fascia is not warped and that keys align correctly with the switches.
