Possible Causes

Defective main control board, Blown internal fuse on PCB, Faulty power cord or mains filter, Shorted low‑voltage regulator on board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect the Indesit ice maker from the mains supply before removing any panels. Do not work on live circuits.

  • Check wall outlet and cord: Plug a lamp or another appliance into the same socket to confirm power. Inspect the Indesit power cord and plug for burns, cuts, or loose pins.
  • Inspect mains filter / interference suppressor: Remove the rear or lower service panel. Locate the mains filter module where the power cord enters the unit. Check for burn marks or swollen components. If damaged, replace the mains filter assembly.
  • Check internal fuse on PCB: Access the main control board (usually behind the front lower panel or rear panel). Look for a small glass or ceramic fuse on the board. Test with a multimeter for continuity. If blown, replace with the exact same rating. If it blows again, there is a short on the board or wiring.
  • Inspect control board: Look for burnt tracks, bulged capacitors, or obvious damage. If present, replace the main control board with the correct Indesit part number.
  • Reassemble and test: After replacing any components, reassemble all covers, reconnect power, and check if the display powers up.
