Ice maker powers on but does not start ice production; display shows E02 shortly after startup.

Safety: Unplug the ice maker and close the water supply valve before working on the water circuit.

• Check water supply: Ensure the household water valve feeding the Indesit ice maker is fully open. Verify water pressure is adequate (typically 1–10 bar). Straighten any kinks in the inlet hose.
• Clean inlet filter: Disconnect the inlet hose from the rear of the unit. Inside the valve connection there is usually a small mesh filter. Remove and rinse under running water to clear debris, then reinstall.
• Inspect for frozen line: If the unit is installed in a cold area, check the inlet hose and internal fill tube for ice. Thaw gently with warm towels; do not use open flame.
• Test water inlet valve: Access the valve from the rear or lower panel. With power disconnected, remove the electrical connectors and measure coil resistance with a multimeter. An open circuit or very high resistance indicates a faulty valve that must be replaced.
• Check water level sensor: Some Indesit ice makers use a float or electronic level sensor in the reservoir. Inspect for limescale or debris preventing movement or proper sensing. Clean with warm water and a mild descaler.
• Reassemble and run a test cycle: Restore water and power, then start a manual ice-making cycle to confirm E02 is cleared.
