Possible Causes
Stuck mechanical float, Faulty electronic water level sensor, Limescale buildup in water reservoir, Damaged sensor wiring harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and close the water supply before opening the unit.
- Access the water reservoir: Remove the top or front cover according to the Indesit service layout. Locate the water tank and float or level sensor assembly.
- Clean the float / sensor: If there is a float, move it up and down by hand. It should move freely. Remove limescale and slime using warm water and a food-safe descaler. For electronic probes, clean the metal contacts gently with a soft brush.
- Inspect wiring: Follow the harness from the level sensor to the main control board. Check for pinched, broken, or corroded connectors. Reseat all plugs firmly.
- Test the float switch: With a multimeter, check continuity of the float switch in both positions (up/down). Replace the float switch assembly if readings are not as specified.
- Reassemble and test: Refill the reservoir, restore power, and run a full cycle to verify that E03 does not reappear.
