Possible Causes
Failed compartment temperature sensor, Blocked condenser coils, Non‑operational condenser fan, Ambient temperature too high around unit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect from mains before cleaning or accessing internal components.
- Check installation conditions: Ensure the Indesit ice maker has adequate ventilation around the sides and rear. Move it away from heat sources (ovens, radiators, direct sunlight).
- Clean condenser: Remove the rear panel and vacuum dust from the condenser coils. Use a soft brush to remove stubborn dirt to improve heat dissipation.
- Verify condenser fan operation: With the panel off, briefly power the unit and confirm the fan runs when the compressor is on. If not, test and replace the fan motor as needed.
- Test compartment temperature sensor: Locate the NTC sensor in the ice storage or freezing compartment. Disconnect and measure resistance at known temperatures. Replace if readings are inconsistent with specifications.
- Reset and test: After cleaning and any part replacement, unplug for 5 minutes, reconnect, and run a full cycle to see if E08 returns.
