Possible Causes
Internal water leak from hoses or reservoir, Cracked water tank, Loose hose clamp, Activated float switch in base tray
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and close the water supply immediately to prevent further leakage.
- Inspect base tray: Remove the lower front or rear panel to access the base. If water is present, carefully sponge it out. Locate the anti-flood float switch and ensure it moves freely.
- Identify leak source: With the base dry, reconnect water and briefly pressurize the system while observing all hoses, joints, and the water tank. Look for drips or spray.
- Tighten or replace hoses: Tighten any loose hose clamps. Replace cracked or brittle hoses with food-grade tubing of the same diameter.
- Check water tank and tray: Inspect the reservoir and ice tray for hairline cracks. Replace any damaged plastic components.
- Reset float switch: Once the leak is fixed and the base is completely dry, ensure the float switch is in its normal (down) position, then reassemble and test.
