Excessive frost or ice buildup on the evaporator or around the ice-making area.

Safety: Unplug the ice maker before defrosting.

• Manual defrost: Remove ice bin and any removable parts. Allow the unit to defrost naturally or use bowls of warm water inside. Do not use sharp tools to chip ice.
• Check door seal: Inspect and replace damaged gaskets to prevent moist air ingress.
• Reduce door openings: Minimize how often and how long the door is open, especially in humid environments.
• Defrost system check: If your Indesit model has an automatic defrost heater and sensor, test them with a multimeter and replace faulty components.
