Ice maker runs continuously without stopping, even when the ice bin is full.

Safety: Unplug the unit before working inside the bin area.

• Clean level sensor: If your Indesit model uses an infrared sensor, clean both emitter and receiver windows.
• Check mechanical arm: For models with a mechanical shutoff arm, ensure the bin lifts the arm fully when full and that the arm moves freely.
• Test sensor function: Manually actuate the arm or block the IR beam and see if the unit responds (may require service mode). Replace the sensor if no change.
• Control board check: If the sensor works but the unit ignores it, the main control board may need replacement.
