Possible Causes
Loose or cracked drain hose, Clogged internal drain, Loose water inlet line fitting, Cracked reservoir or pump housing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Unplug the ice maker and shut off the water supply. Use towels to soak up standing water to prevent slips.
- Inspect supply line: Check the water inlet connection at the rear of the unit for drips. Tighten compression fittings gently; do not overtighten plastic parts.
- Check drain hose routing: Ensure the drain hose has no kinks and is securely attached to the drain pump or outlet. Replace if brittle or cracked.
- Clear internal drain: Remove the bin and access the internal drain opening. Flush with warm water to remove ice chips and debris.
- Examine reservoir and pump: Look for hairline cracks or leaks around seams while pouring a small amount of water into the reservoir. Replace any leaking components.
- Test after repair: Restore water and power, then monitor for leaks during a full cycle.
