Possible Causes

Moisture ingress into control panel, Worn membrane keypad, Loose ribbon cable between panel and PCB, Faulty control PCB input

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing the control panel.

  • 1. Dry the panel: If the panel has been splashed, unplug the unit and allow it to dry for several hours. Do not use a hairdryer on high heat.
  • 2. Check for stuck buttons: Press each button individually to feel for sticking. Clean around the buttons with a slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
  • 3. Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the top or front cover to access the control panel PCB. Ensure the ribbon cable from the keypad is firmly seated in its connector.
  • 4. Replace keypad: If some buttons never respond, replace the membrane keypad / control panel assembly.
  • 5. PCB replacement: If a new keypad does not resolve the issue, the main control PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
