Possible Causes
Empty water reservoir, Mis-seated water tank, Faulty water level sensor, Scale build-up on level probes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Always unplug before removing panels, but topping up water can be done with the unit plugged in if you avoid internal parts.
- 1. Refill reservoir: Remove the water reservoir and fill with clean, potable water up to the MAX line. Avoid using sparkling or flavoured water.
- 2. Reseat tank: Ensure the reservoir is fully seated and correctly aligned with its valve or inlet port. A misaligned tank can prevent water from entering the machine.
- 3. Descale level probes: If your model uses metal probes, unplug the unit, access the reservoir base, and clean the probes with a descaling solution suitable for small appliances. Rinse thoroughly.
- 4. Reset: After refilling and cleaning, press the power or reset button to clear the ADD indication.
- 5. Sensor replacement: If the ADD warning persists with a full, correctly seated tank, the water level sensor assembly may be faulty and require replacement.
