How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the ice maker before performing a deep clean. Use only food-safe descaling agents recommended for ice makers.
- 1. Drain water: Open the drain plug (usually at the rear or bottom) and empty the reservoir completely.
- 2. Prepare cleaning solution: Mix a suitable descaler or white vinegar with water according to instructions. Fill the reservoir.
- 3. Run cleaning cycle: If your Lakeland model has a dedicated CLEAN button, press and hold it to start the automatic cleaning cycle. Allow it to run fully.
- 4. Manual cleaning: If no auto cycle, run the machine for 10–15 minutes without collecting ice, then stop and drain. Wipe the evaporator plate, ice tray, and water channels with a soft cloth soaked in the solution.
- 5. Rinse thoroughly: Refill with fresh water and run at least two full cycles, discarding the ice, to flush out any cleaning residue.
- 6. Reset indicator: Press and hold the CLEAN or RESET button as per the user manual to clear the CLEAN reminder.
