Possible Causes
Blocked ventilation, High ambient temperature, Overheating compressor, Faulty thermal cut-out
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and allow the unit to cool for at least 30 minutes before further use.
- 1. Improve ventilation: Ensure the unit has adequate clearance and is not enclosed in a cabinet.
- 2. Clean condenser and fan: Remove the rear panel and clean the condenser coil and fan to improve heat dissipation.
- 3. Reduce ambient temperature: Move the ice maker to a cooler room if possible.
- 4. Check thermal cut-out: If the unit repeatedly shuts down even in cool conditions, the compressor thermal protector or a PCB-mounted temperature sensor may be overly sensitive or faulty and should be replaced.
