Possible Causes
Insufficient water in reservoir, Blocked water inlet filter, Faulty water level sensor, Kinked or pinched inlet hose (on plumbed models)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the ProfiCook ice maker before inspecting internal parts. Do not work on the unit while it is connected to mains power.
- Check water level: Remove the water reservoir (if removable) or open the lid and verify that the water level is between the MIN and MAX marks. Top up with clean, potable water.
- Inspect inlet hose (plumbed models): Ensure the hose is not kinked, pinched, or crushed behind the appliance. Straighten the hose and confirm the tap is fully open.
- Clean inlet filter: At the hose connection or reservoir outlet, locate the small mesh filter. Rinse it under running water and remove any scale or debris.
- Reset the unit: After correcting water issues, unplug the ice maker for 5 minutes, then reconnect and power on. Clear the E1 code by pressing the power button and starting a new cycle.
- If E1 persists: The internal water level sensor or float switch may be faulty. This typically requires disassembly of the water tank area and replacement of the sensor assembly—contact a qualified technician.
