Possible Causes
Blocked water pump inlet, Failed circulation pump, Airlock in water circuit, Loose pump wiring connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the ProfiCook ice maker and remove the water reservoir before working near the pump.
- Clean water reservoir: Empty the tank and rinse thoroughly to remove scale or debris that could clog the pump inlet.
- Inspect pump inlet screen: At the bottom of the reservoir or inside the base, locate the small pump intake screen and clean it with a soft brush.
- Remove airlocks: Refill the reservoir, then tilt the unit slightly forward and backward (while unplugged) to help release trapped air from the pump area.
- Reconnect and test: Plug in the unit and start a cycle. Listen for the pump running and check if water flows over the evaporator fingers or into the ice tray.
- If E6 remains and pump is silent: The circulation pump is likely defective and must be replaced. Access usually requires removing the bottom cover and disconnecting hoses and wiring.
