Possible Causes
Failed ice-full infrared sensor, Sensor wiring disconnected, Ice basket not reaching sensor level, Control board not responding to sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit if it overfills to prevent spillage.
- Check basket height: Ensure the correct ice basket is installed and seated properly so that ice reaches the sensor area.
- Clean sensor lenses: Wipe the infrared sensor windows to remove frost or dirt.
- Test with hand: With the lid open and unit running, carefully place your hand between the sensor pair (if safe to do so). The unit should interpret this as 'full' and stop after a short delay.
- If it does not stop: The sensor or control board is likely faulty and should be replaced by a technician.
