- Empty and rinse: Remove all ice and drain the reservoir.
- Prepare descaling solution: Mix a food-safe descaler or white vinegar with water according to product instructions.
- Soak and wipe: Fill the reservoir with the solution and use a soft cloth or sponge to gently wipe the evaporator fingers and tank surfaces. Do not use abrasive pads.
- Run a cleaning cycle: If your model supports it, run a cleaning or test cycle, then discard the water.
- Rinse thoroughly: Flush the system with at least two full tanks of clean water before making ice again.
