How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the ice maker before opening the control panel.
Steps to restore button function:
- Dry the panel: If the panel was exposed to moisture, allow it to dry completely for several hours.
- Reseat ribbon cable: Remove the top cover and carefully disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cable between the keypad and main PCB.
- Inspect for damage: Look for cracks in the keypad PCB or worn button contacts. If present, the panel must be replaced.
- Replace keypad: Install a new control panel / keypad PCB if individual buttons remain non-functional.
