Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and wipe up any spilled water to prevent slipping or electrical hazards.
Steps to locate and fix leaks:
- Check drain plug: Inspect the rear or side drain plug. Ensure it is fully tightened and that the rubber gasket is not cracked or missing. Replace the drain plug gasket if damaged.
- Inspect reservoir: Remove the ice basket and visually inspect the reservoir for cracks or seams that may be leaking. Fill with a small amount of water and watch for drips.
- Check internal hoses: Remove the lower panel and inspect silicone hoses for splits, loose clamps, or disconnections. Refit or replace as needed.
- Avoid overfilling: Only fill to the indicated MAX line. Overfilling can cause overflow through vents.
If the plastic reservoir is cracked, it may be possible to replace the water reservoir tank as a spare part; otherwise, replacement of the unit may be more economical.
