Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before cleaning or accessing the rear compartment.
Steps to improve ice production speed:
- Improve ventilation: Move the ice maker away from walls and heat sources. Provide at least 10–15 cm clearance on all sides and ensure the room is not excessively hot.
- Clean condenser and fan: Remove the rear panel and thoroughly clean dust from the condenser coil and fan blades. Ensure the fan spins freely and runs when the compressor is on.
- Defrost and descale: Turn the unit off, unplug, and allow any internal ice buildup to melt. Clean the evaporator with a descaling solution to remove mineral deposits.
- Check door/lid seal: Make sure the top lid closes properly and is not warped, allowing warm air to enter.
If performance remains poor after cleaning and ensuring good airflow, the sealed refrigeration system may be weak or partially blocked, which requires a refrigeration technician.
