Ice maker stops after a few minutes and beeps, ice basket not full

Safety: Unplug the ice maker before adjusting internal parts.

Steps to correct false full detection:

• Check ice full arm: If your model has a plastic swing arm, gently move it up and down. It should move freely and return to its normal position. Clear any ice or debris blocking its movement.
• Clean optical sensors: For models with infrared sensors, locate the emitter and receiver windows near the top of the ice basket area. Clean both with a soft, dry cloth to remove condensation or scale.
• Inspect wiring: Access the sensor wiring behind the inner liner and ensure connectors are secure.
• Test operation: Reassemble, plug in, and run a cycle. Observe whether the unit still stops early and indicates full.
• Replace sensor: If the problem persists, replace the ice full sensor assembly.
