Possible Causes

Empty water reservoir, Misaligned removable water tank, Faulty water level float or sensor, Mineral buildup preventing float movement

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn the unit off before removing the water tank to avoid spills into electrical components.

Resolution:

  • Refill reservoir: Remove the water tank and fill with clean, potable water up to the MAX line. Reinstall firmly until it clicks or seats fully.
  • Bleed air: On some Sencor models, tilting the unit slightly backward for a few seconds after refilling helps remove air pockets from the intake.
  • Clean float: If the message remains, remove the tank and inspect the float mechanism. Clean any scale or slime with warm water and a soft brush so the float can move freely.
  • Check sensor: If the float is clean and moving but the message persists, the water level sensor / float switch may be faulty and require replacement.
