How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before deep cleaning.
Cleaning procedure:
- Initial flush: Discard the first 2–3 batches of ice from a new Sencor ice maker.
- Clean reservoir: Empty the tank and wash with warm water and mild dish soap. Rinse thoroughly.
- Sanitize system: Fill the tank with a solution of 1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water. Run a cleaning cycle if available, or let the unit circulate for 15–20 minutes, then drain completely.
- Rinse: Refill with clean water and run at least two full ice cycles, discarding the ice.
- Water quality: Use filtered or bottled water to reduce odors and mineral content.
