Sencor Ice clumping / melting in storage bin

Ice cubes stick together in large clumps in the basket.

Possible Causes

Ice basket not cooled (normal design), Room temperature too high, Poor air circulation around unit, Ice not removed frequently enough

Understanding: Most Sencor countertop ice makers do not have a freezer compartment; ice will slowly melt and refreeze into clumps.

Mitigation:

Use ice promptly: Transfer ice to a freezer soon after production to prevent clumping.
Break up clumps: Periodically shake the basket gently to separate cubes.
Improve environment: Keep the unit in a cooler room away from heat sources to slow melting.
