Ice maker overfills the ice basket; ice continues to be produced even when basket is full.

Safety first: Unplug the unit before working near the ice bin sensors or level arm.

• Clean and align sensors: For IR-based systems, clean the sensor windows and ensure they face each other correctly.
• Check mechanical arm: If your model uses a mechanical arm, verify it moves freely and is not jammed by ice or bent.
• Test sensor function: With the unit powered, manually raise the level arm or block the IR beam and see if the full indicator activates. If not, the sensor or switch may be faulty.
• Replace sensor/arm: Install a new ice level sensor or arm switch if the existing one does not signal correctly.
• Control PCB check: If the sensor output is correct but the unit continues to make ice, the control PCB logic may be defective and require replacement.
