Safety first: Unplug the unit before tightening screws or touching internal components.

• Level the appliance: Place the Severin ice maker on a solid, level surface. Adjust any feet if provided to eliminate rocking.
• Check ice basket and lid: Ensure the ice basket is seated correctly and the lid closes fully. Loose baskets can rattle.
• Inspect fan and panels: Remove the rear cover and check that the fan blades are not hitting the shroud. Gently bend blades back into shape if needed. Tighten any loose screws on panels or brackets.
• Check compressor mounts: Verify the rubber grommets and mounting bolts on the compressor are intact and snug, but do not overtighten as some movement is normal.
• Test noise source: Run the unit with the rear cover off (keeping fingers clear) to localize the noise. Once identified, secure or replace the offending part.
