Water Distribution Tray Overflow or Misalignment
Water drips continuously into the ice basket, causing ice to melt and refreeze into a solid block.

Possible Causes
Clogged water distribution holes, Misaligned water tray over evaporator, Excessive water flow from pump, Ice thickness control not stopping water in time
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the ice maker and remove the ice basket before working near the evaporator.
- Inspect water tray: Locate the water distribution tray above the evaporator plate. Ensure it is seated correctly and level.
- Clean tray holes: Remove the tray and clean all water outlet holes with a soft brush or toothpick to remove mineral deposits.
- Check pump operation: Observe a cycle (with covers in place but basket removed) to see if the pump runs continuously or only during fill. Continuous overfilling may indicate a control PCB issue.
- Verify ice thickness control: If ice grows too large before harvest, water may overflow. Clean and check the ice thickness sensor as described in the E5 section.
- Reassemble and test: Reinstall the tray securely and run several cycles, discarding the first batches, to confirm that dripping stops.
