Restricted Water Flow to Ice Maker
Ice cubes are very small, hollow, or irregular; E08 water flow error may appear

Possible Causes
Partially clogged inlet valve screen, Scaled internal water channels, Clogged external water filter, Low water pressure to Siemens ice maker
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off water supply and disconnect power before disassembling water components.
Improving water flow:
- Replace external filter: If your Siemens ice maker is connected to a separate water filter, replace the cartridge according to the schedule or sooner if flow is weak.
- Clean inlet screen: Disconnect the supply hose and clean the mesh screen in the inlet valve as described for E04.
- Descale internal lines: Mineral buildup can restrict flow. Follow Siemens-approved descaling procedures using a food-safe descaler. Circulate the solution through the water circuit if the model supports cleaning mode.
- Check pressure: Confirm adequate water pressure at the supply. If using a long or narrow hose, consider replacing it with a standard Siemens-approved hose to reduce restriction.
After maintenance: Run and discard the first 1–2 batches of ice to remove any residual descaler or debris.
