Possible Causes
Leaking water line or fitting, Cracked internal water reservoir, Blocked drain line causing overflow, Faulty leak sensor or float switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and close the water supply valve immediately to prevent further leakage.
Leak inspection:
- Remove toe kick / lower panel: Access the base pan and look for standing water. Use towels or a wet/dry vacuum to remove water.
- Identify source: Inspect the Siemens water inlet hose, internal tubing, reservoir, and pump connections for drips or mineral trails.
- Check drain: Ensure the drain hose from the evaporator tray to the drain pump or outlet is not kinked or blocked. Flush with warm water if necessary.
- Inspect leak sensor: Many Siemens units have a float or electronic sensor in the base. Verify it moves freely and is not stuck in the triggered position. Dry the sensor thoroughly.
- Repair or replace: Tighten loose fittings, replace cracked hoses or reservoirs, and replace a faulty leak sensor if it continues to signal when dry.
After repair: Reset the error by disconnecting power for several minutes, then monitor closely for any new leaks.
