Buttons on the ice maker control panel do not respond or respond intermittently.

Safety first: Disconnect power before working on the control panel.

Steps:

• Clean surface: Wipe the control panel with a soft, dry cloth to remove moisture or residue.
• Check connector: Remove the panel and reseat the keypad or touch panel connector on the UI board.
• Inspect for damage: Look for cracks or delamination of the keypad membrane. Replace the keypad or entire UI assembly if damaged.
• Test operation: After reassembly, restore power and test each button. If still unresponsive, replace the UI board.
