Safety first: Unplug the unit before accessing valves or sensors.

Steps:

Observe harvest: During operation, watch the evaporator plate at the end of the freeze cycle. If ice remains stuck, the harvest system is not working.
Check for obstructions: Ensure no plastic parts, scale, or ice buildup is physically blocking ice from sliding into the bin.
Descale evaporator: Run a descaling cycle to remove mineral deposits that can cause ice to stick.
Test harvest valve: Locate the hot gas or harvest solenoid valve. Check coil resistance and replace if open. A failed valve will prevent warm gas from releasing the ice.
Sensor check: Verify the harvest thermostat or sensor is functioning and signaling the board at the correct temperature.
